These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY] (“Encore”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Encore you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Encore.
Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (You → Delete my account).
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you will not:
You own the photos and words you add to Encore. You give us a limited licence to host, show and process them to run Encore (for example, to show your profile to other members and to check your photos). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we keep for safety or legal reasons as our Privacy Policy describes. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share.
We verify every member’s identity and age and screen photos, but we do not run criminal background checks and we cannot guarantee anyone’s identity, intentions or behaviour. You are responsible for your own interactions with other members, online and in person. Please read our safety tips, meet in public, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable.
You can block or report anyone from their profile or your conversation. A person reviews reports. We may remove content or suspend or remove any account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe puts members at risk, with or without notice.
Encore is free to use. Optional paid features (Encore Plus and bouquets) are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms as well as these.
You can stop using Encore and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 9 to 12) survive.
Encore is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that Encore will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you will find a match. [FOR COUNSEL: review disclaimer language for the states where Encore operates.]
To the extent the law allows, Encore is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any member on or off the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. [FOR COUNSEL: confirm caps and carve-outs.]
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us arises from your breach of these terms or your conduct with other members. [FOR COUNSEL]
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [FOR COUNSEL: dispute resolution, arbitration and class-action waiver, if any, and venue.]
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Encore after that means you accept the new terms.

Encore works because everyone here has been through something. Act like it.
Current photos of you. No catfishing, no borrowed pictures, no pretending to be divorced if you aren’t at least separating.
Nobody owes you their divorce story on day one. Ask with curiosity, and accept “not yet” gracefully.
No photos of children, yours or anyone’s. Talk about your kids as much as you like; keep their names and schools private.
Asking for money, gifts or investments, or promoting a business, gets you removed on the first report.
Harassment, slurs, threats, or sexual content no one asked for mean immediate removal.
Use the report button. A person reviews every report.
